Desperately he clings to hope,

Wishing it wasn't in the form of dope.

voices now travel past the moon before returning and so was left naked in the stark reality of coffeeshop 

conversations between strangers who know every line to each other's favorite playlists, movies, poems, but 

cannot imagine diverging from the weather long enough to raise the snaking scar from her wrist.
